Roberto Guzman Researcher at FIDAMC
Dr. Roberto Guzman de Villoria is currently a researcher at FIDAMC. He holds his Ph.D. (2007) from Zaragoza University. Roberto joined the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT from 2007 to 2012 as a Post-doctoral Associate. He was group leader at IMDEA Materiales Institute until January 2017.
Roberto’s research interests are in the area of design and development of new materials and structures with tailored mechanical and functional properties. His current research focuses on manufacturing new composite materials and bio-inspired materials for transportation. Dr. Guzman is author of around 40 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals (h-index of 20), 6 patents and has participated in 21 research projects (group leader in 8 of them) in the field of composite materials.
